Jeff Speck – Walkability for Downtown Tulsa
The Downtown Coordinating Council, in cooperation with local businesses, organizations, and individuals, welcomed urbanist and walkability expert Jeff Speck for the presentation of his completed Walkable Tulsa Study.
Some of his topics include street lane conversion, cycling, general practices for developers, streetscape, art and murals, and parking.
You can view the presentation recording above. The Walkability Study document is available online here. We are utilizing FeedbackTulsa for comments/survey responses, which will be available the week after Speck’s presentation. FT is free to use, and takes only a short time to register.
The Study references and is being considered as a companion toward the implementation of the Downtown Area Master Plan.
In May 2016, the DCC invited author Jeff Speck to Tulsa for a two-day walkability presentation. Speck spoke to city leaders, residents and business owners downtown, and any and all who would listen and have an interest in creating a more walkable Tulsa.
Jeff Speck did an interview with City of Tulsa as well, and you can view that here.
You also are able to view his presentation in its entirety by clicking this link to the video on our YouTube page, or watching it directly below.
